Abstract
Abstract: This paper describes the outreach initiative Medicamentos Salva Vidas (Medications Save Lives), carried out with the goal of extending the field of Pharmacy beyond the university walls and raising awareness about crucial public health issues. The initiative was conducted through lectures in schools and Family Health Units, addressing topics such as the rational use of medications. The methodology included a literature review, preparation of educational materials, and interactive presentations with activities and Q&A sessions. The results demonstrated strong engagement from both the community and students, who clarified doubts and discussed responsible health practices. The initiative had a positive impact, fostering a greater understanding of the pharmacist’s role in society and encouraging adherence to the rational use of medications.
