Abstract
University Extension is a fundamental academic foundation in student training and functions as a mechanism for social transformation.
This study aims to evaluate the actions and the public covered by the Early Childhood Stimulation Project during its four cycles as a university extension.
This is a descriptive case study, characterized by a qualitative approach.
The extension project has already reached 600 children, through weekly stimulation activities. In addition, events, lectures, mini-courses and educational materials are published for the community on important topics related to child development.
During the cycles, the project contributes to the training of students and the main beneficiaries are children, through the creation of bonds and stimulation through play, as well as their families and caregivers, thus achieving the objective of university extension.
