Abstract
Health professionals are an important link between scientific knowledge and users of natural products, however, it is observed that only nutrition and pharmacy courses address this content in a recurring and official way in their Political Pedagogical Projects for the Courses. With the aim of providing information that encourages the search for and study of content on natural products, the Academic League of Natural Products (Liaana) offered its first introductory mini-course, open to students studying health and biological sciences courses at the Federal University of Alagoas and other higher education institutions in the state. The mini-course began with the presentation of the board and coordination of the league and its projects, continuing with lectures on the use of natural products, as well as their implications for human health and the need for guidance and monitoring of patients using medicinal plants.
